My kid-free wife and I like to get up early on Saturdays, have breakfast and go back to bed. This is not to be confused with the late morning nap.

I don't think I could handle the responsibility of taking care of another human, especially one that needs me almost constantly for 4 or 5 years. I'd rather be the awesome uncle and settle down with a wife who thinks the same way.

4-5 years? I've got an 11-year-old who still doesn't realize that he can make his own sandwich. As for handling the responsibility, you might surprise yourself. But it's not for everybody.

I might surprise myself true, but the consequences of me failing are that I completely screw up someone's life and I don't want that on me.

In my opinion, there are no good parents or bad parents. There are parents who try and parents who don't try. But, don't let me talk you into it.

My one year-old woke me up last Saturday by hitting me as hard as she could right in the face. Scariest shit I've ever been woken up by. She thought it was hilarious. I was very glad I didn't reflex punch her.

As long as you care for the kid, spend time with them, and raise them; you can't possibly screw up.

Here's a fact, you will never be ready to have a child, financially or mentally. Its a game changer, everything will be different from then on. But its a nice game changer. The child will test your patience, but they will also bring a smile to your face. And if you instill the right morals in them, you can get a sigh of relief that at least one person in the next generation isn't going to be a "yolo' child (or whatever else there is).

Parenting is a responsibility, but its a good one that I am personally proud of.

You're making me jealous. The latest I can get up is 8:30am, because our dog starts whining to go the bathroom, and the wife won't do it.

What about that guy who murdered his kid by leaving him in the car, or that mom who drowned all six of her kids?

If you don't want kids, definitely do not have kids. It's not like we have a shortage of people.

They weren't trying. Honestly, that quote is more for people who really are trying but feel like they are a failure. There really are bad, horrible, no good parents out there.

This made me laugh a lot. Very relevant since my friends in their late 20s are starting to have kids.
